---===BOOTS===---

Make: Daytona
Model: Flash
Size: Size 49/ US 15
Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: (Dirty Hippie) I usually wear a 15
Comments: By far the most comfy boots ever. From what I hear this applies to all the Daytona boots. I used to wear race boots for rides, and combat boots for around town stuff, because I couldn't walk in the race boots and they were a bit small in the toes (read next). These have replaced them both. Ordered from FCmoto in Germany. Took months and the service sucked, but I am sooo happy I have them. They don't offer any where near the protection of a race boot, but I can live with that. $220 including shipping to the US.

Comments: Too tight in the toes, but freaking huge everywhere else. You got big calves? These may be for you. Squeaky and uncomfortable to walk in, but they are nice on the bike and are very protective. Bought off ebay for $65 brand new.

Buyer Info: (Graemsay) 13 UK (XW), 18" calves.
Comments: Altberg have a good reputation amongst UK bikers as making tough boots that can cope with the worst of the British climate. They can also berefurbished, which means that they last for ever...The Clubman boots are CE rated as professional protective equipment, but lackany hard armour. The Hoggs have more padding, and feel a bit more durable.Altberg can modify the basic boot to fit, although at an extra cost. My calvesare too big for the standard cut, and I'll be travelling to their factory in amonth or so to get measured up for a custom pair.

Buyer Info: size 15
Comments: I'm a pretty consistent size 15,bought Sidi Sport Rain size 50 based on using Sidi bicycle shoes for years, was not disappointed in quality and they have essentially same foot last! Model: Tracker (boot) Available Sizes: 5 - 15 (may have been discontinued) Custom Alterations: none Buyer Info: (dox) 6'4", 315lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52-54" chest, 34-36" sleeves Comments: Purchased these on clearance at my local shop... gentleman said they were unable to sell them and had been sitting a while. Originally priced ataround $140 and were marked down to $79. Toe, heel and overall foot comfort isexceptional, I would say that these boots are truly a size 15 as advertised.Boots are NOT waterproof by any stretch of the imagination, but good ridingboots are hard to find for a big guy and these certainly fit the bill. Walkingin them, as with any riding boot, becomes very uncomfortable after walking forany long distance. On the bike (especially with wool socks) they arecomfortable, just the right fit with issues or hot spots from rubbing.

COMMENTS: These boots are made for Aerostitch by Sidi. I found Aerostitch’s Euro sizing chart to be on the big side. They had Euro 50 listed as 14’s. I had tried on a pair of Sidi on roads and found euro 49 fit best. I went with the Euro 49 CBT’s and they fit perfectly. These boots are very well made.

Comments: (stretch67) These boots are wonderful! Very high quality Italian leather, 14 inches tall (from the floor, mid-calf on me), with four velcro closures on the outboard sides, like MX boots without the hardware. Absolutely waterproof, even when wading in the ocean while kayaking. Very comfortable right out of the box, but now that I've worn them for a year, they're like comfy sneakers. If these were stolen, etc I would immediately buy another pair just like them.

---===JACKETS===---

Make: Icon
Model: Motorhead
Size: 3xl
Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: (Dirty Hippie) 47" chest, 38" sleeves
Comments: Well, hmmm. I bought this jacket after a long, long leather search and not finding anything with long enough sleeves. I would fit better in an XXL, but for some reason the liner in the XXL only came halfway down my forearms. The sleeves are long, and huge. I have to wear the cuffs over my gauntlets because they are way to big to tuck. I used to wear shorty gloves, but switched to gauntlets because the sleeves are so big they would slide right up and expose my skin in a crash. The jacket is very high quality leather, but the armor is just OK. It's my winter coat, since I can layer up as much as needed under this huge thing. With the liner out it isn't wearable for me. I paid about $315 retail for this from New Enough.

Make: Joe Rocket
Model: Supermoto
Size: 50

Buyer Info:(Dirty Hippie) 47" chest, 38" sleeves
Comments: This is a perfed leather jacket, with some mesh parts sewn in. Fit is good, nice and snug, although the sleeves could be an inch longer. Sleeves tuck into my gauntlets just fine. Feels much better armored than the Icon jacket, and also better than other Rocket stuff I have looked at. Bought off ebay for $115 used. This was bought to replace the following mesh jacket.

Make: Firstgear
Model: Meshtex
Size: xl tall
Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: (Dirty Hippie) 47" chest, 38" sleeves
Comments: Fits well, but what a piece of shit. Thin, crappy "armor", if you can even call it that. Flows a ton of air and probably slightly better than a t-shirt in a crash. I'd sell it, but I wouldn't wish this cheap gear on anyone. FWIW, I find ALL Firstgear stuff to be in the same class. Their stuff is crap, and it surprises me that it is so popular. I guess it is cheap, and they have talls, but I won't be buying any more. Bought on clearance for $70 at New Enough. My nephew has the Rocket Phoenix jacket, which I feel is a lot better if you gotta have mesh.

Make: Cortech

Buyer Info:(Dirty Hippie) 47" chest, 38" sleeves
Comments: I couldn't get this jacket to fit right. Ordered a 3xl tall, and it was Shaq size. Sent it back and got the 2xl tall. Still huge. I coulda been 7 feet tall and it would have fit. XL was too tight in the shoulders, and without the tall length it was a bit short everywhere. I wore it for a while and sold it. On the plus side

Comments: Normally I wear a 3XL Tall which can be hard to find, but others have sworn it is a size larger at least in tall. I would say the jacketcertainly is near 3XL and without the liner certainly is a 3XL. I find it atad snug but usable with the liner and perfect removed. So make sure you trythis jacket on or buy from a place with a good return policy. In sub 80s, Icurrently wear a 4XL Belstaff Discovery Jacket which is almost perfect for me.By comparison the Discovery is bulky without the liner and there are no cinchspots to keep the armor from floating around unlike the Kili. The Kili alsohas a lighter feel to it and the fabric seems more supple. The armor islighter, but I have no doubt it would protect impact areas as well as theDiscovery. Length is perfect for me and I suspect good for anyone over 6' withlonger arms and torso. You can read other in depth reviews on thefunctionality of the jacket, but this being a jacket that has been around fora long time and through several revisions I would say it shows. Great jacket, great value and good fit if you pick the right one and not go by the sizelabel. I will probably stay with the Discovery during the cold winter months, use the Kili spring and fall and opt for a Cortech mesh jacket here in Atlantaduring the hottest months. Some people probably want a single jacket for allseasons and I would actually consider this jacket for just such duty.

Comments: I wear a summer mesh jacket most of the time but early or late in the season I have been wanting a nice quality 3/4 jacket. Previously I havetried several jackets from Joe Rocket, Rev'It and Olympia none of which fitparticularly well. So when I ran across this jacket at a great price, I jumpedon it. Turns out to be a really nice jacket and a good fit. It is probably abit shorter in the torso than I would like, but it isn't so short that Iwouldn't use it unlike the Olympia gear. The sleeves are long actually and fitme very well so if you are big and short armed, I would avoid this jacket.Past that the build quality of the jacket is probably the best I have everowned. My mom was a seamstress and taught me well so I know good stitchingwhen I see it and this has it. The armor is soft, light and thin which iscomfy but not sure how impact resistant it is. However, the material qualityand thickness offset much of that. If I were to go down, I would probably pickthis jacket out of all my jackets short of my Custom Z leather jacket which isa tank but very stiff. I do have a couple nitpicks. First it starts with asnug neck area which like many jackets for the big guy are sometimes too snug. This jacket is snug with a purpose I believe. Ultimately its purpose is tokeep out the weather which it will do. It isn't so tight I can't close it, butI know it is there when it is closed. Not a big deal really. The next onecould be a deal killer for some. The arms are not adjustable so you cannotsnug the armor right up to you. I personally don't mind, but for safetypurposes it is often preferable to get the armor right next to the body tohelp absorb and disperse impact force. Those aside, this is a quality jacketand I am very impressed with it. I am still interested in trying out the newKili jacket, but for now this is my goto jacket when the weather turns foul.

Comments: Purchased 2XL but found inside measurement to be 60". Returned for XL which has inside measurement of 56". Vendors state that this version of thejacket was upsized. The manufacturer stated that this was done to allow heavylayering under liner. I found this to be the case. Two items of note: First: the liner is a woven nylon and does not stretch like the previous version fleece liner did. The sleeves of the liner seem narrow compared to theouterjacket. I will be using a different liner to overcome this issue.Second, the neck opening is oversized and does not have an adjustment tab. TheXL overjacket neck opening measures 23". This will require alteration in orderto keep the elements out.

Comments: I have been looking for my summer riding replacement of my Joe Rocket Phoenix for the last five years or so. I like the jacket, but reallywanted something with better protection in the impact zones, fit a tall bigguy and wasn't all black. Well I found it. The Cortech is just about a perfectsummer jacket for the tall big man. It is a nice mesh jacket with leather inthe impact areas (elbow, shoulder, back) but still is mostly mesh. The collaris super comfy and actually closes around this 21" neck of mine. Color optionsin the tall sizes are few but they offer a silver which is miles better thanblack in the sun IMO. I did find the liners too short and tight around thearms, but I never use the liners on these jackets and prefer to use a rainjacket during rain and a light windproof thinsulate when it gets cold atnight. The cuffs work great and allow ample room for a long glove. Anyway, fitis good, quality job on the machine sewing and I have no reason to think thisjacket won't hold up as well as the Phoenix has.

Comments: I am a big fan of the build quality of Olympia gear. Unfortunately they don't seem to work very well for long armed or long torso people. Thisjacket falls into that category for me. It has enough girth, but the height ofthis 3/4 jacket is more like a 5/8 jacket. The end of the jacket barely makesit to my hips and the elastic that is designed to go around the mid-section ofyour body is several inches above my belly button. Shame as the jacket seemslike a quality jacket and their aren't many mesh 3/4 jackets around. Alas thesearch continues for a more protective replacement to the Joe Rocket Phoenix3XL Tall. This jacket does seem to run a size small at least with the 4XL. Iwould consider the 4XL a 3XL in other garments so if you are on the border ofsizes I would try one size up.Buyer Info:(jobusu) 6'2", 400 lbs (wear between 4XL and 5XL tshirts) Comments: Someone already posted regarding this jacket but I thought I'd add my .02. I ordered the 4XL, and it was significantly smaller than a 4XL shirt.I had a temporary panel added until I lose a little more weight. I'd alsosecond the comments about them being too short for those with very long torsoslike me (I'm 6'2" but my jeans are 31 or 32" inseam). The jacket isn't tooshort for full coverage, its just not 3/4 length. Great quality.

Comments: This jacket is nearly perfect. The design is excellent and quality is incredible especially for the price. The styling looks good to me and I love the fact that it comes in a gray-ish color rather than black which sucks up heat here in Atlanta. The problem I have with the jacket is the same problem I have with a lot of these kind of jackets, the torso is too short. It needs another 1-2" of material to replace my Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket.

Comments: This is a good jacket and most will be happy with it. The styling is clean, jacket is comfortable and it features pretty much everything you need in a good mesh jacket. Comments: Water-resistant nylon shell, with built-in waterproof, breathable Hypertex membrane. Removable fleece liner. The shell has zippered vents on each sleeve at the upper arm, each breast pocket, and a cape vent across the back. I haven't worn the jacket on ninety-several degree days yet, but the ventilation is adequate so far, as long as you're moving. The included liner may also be used as a fleece jacket... it has a proper collar, fully zippered front, and non-zippper handwarmer pockets. Being completely customized for the person wearing simply means everything works. The only two downsides to this jacket are cost and weight but that weight feels like it will protect more. Comments: I first tried the 3XL Tall but found it binding under the arms. This was a suprise since the Phoenix jacket is such a good fit. This jacket is a great fit right till the neck. For some reason they think people that buy a jacket this big have small necks. I cannot zip the jacket all the way up which makes it not that useful in wet conditions. Comments:(stretch67) This is one great all-around waist-length jacket. It's a mesh jacket with zip-on solid panels that convert the jacket from mesh to solid textile. It also comes with an insulated liner and a windproof / waterproof liner. Comments: This jacket is huge! I swim inside of it. With the liner in it fits a little better, but still huge. With the liner out it is like a poncho with CE armor. No sleeve adjustments so the elbow armor can twist almost completely around my forearm. When I let my arms hang to my sides the cuffs almost completely engulf my hands. Comments: (Daaayo) Love the jacket! Huge range of comfort from 100 degrees to 38 degrees so far. With no liner it is cooler than wearing just a t-shirt. With rain/wind liner comfortable in rain and temps down to 50. With quilted liner and rain/wind liner down to 38 (with long sleeve "technical gear" type t-shirt underneath. Had to get it custom made. Long story but short version. It took a couple of returns but finally got it right and it works awesome! Also bought the Air Mesh Kevlar Pants with the wind/rain liner. Had them custom made and love 'em too!

---===RIDER PANTS===---

Pants:

Make: MotoGP/Berik
Model: Leather perfed track type pants, unsure of model
Available Sizes: They were about a 44" waist
Custom Alterations: I tailored these personally. By hand. Took a whole weekend, but I am very pleased with the results. I needed a big waist to get extra size other places and gain more length, then I made the waist and thighs smaller.
Buyer Info: 40" waist, 38" inseam
Comments: Totally awesome after the tailoring. These are my canyon pants. The armor is WAY beyond the stuff I find in Rocket, Firstgear, etc. Really nice stuff. Padded all around the hips and ass. The length could be a bit longer, but they tuck into my boots so it doesn't matter. Armor falls right where I need it and that's what counts.

Make: Alpinestars
Model: Street Cargo Pants

Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: 6'4"/ 35. inseam, 35 waist
Comments: Just bought these pants in sand (khaki) color. Also available in black. Armor looks to be non-adjustable, but is at right height for me.

Comments:Prior to these pants I wore Draggin Jeans. They are fine, but not really the "look" I like nor are they particularly comfy. They work and Iprefer them to pull overs. Based on another review, I decided to try these andI am glad I did. These pants are perfect for me. Plenty of room in the legarea for armor if you choose, more Kevlar than Draggin Jeans and the crotcharea has a nice relaxed fit. Actually, I sit around in these after a ridesometimes where the other pants would be taken off for something more comfyASAP. I like where these come up on my waist but they do ride low compared tonormal pants although I think they are probably about the same place as theDraggin Jeans. The other very minor nitpick I have with these pants is theyshould have more belt loops. Not a big deal, but they do seem to be a coupleshy of a standard pair of pants. I am going back for more probably two more.

Comments: The jeans are cut high in the waist. This feels weird at first, but works well on the bike. Inseam is true to size, perhaps a little longer even.Waist is true to size. Legs are relaxed enough to wear my Forcefield armorunderneath. They even fit my oversized calves (19")

Comments: Got from NewEnough.com for $134.99 free shipping. Recent trip in heavy rains went well, slight dampness around thighs....nothinguncomfortable(using insulated liner). They fit over Alpinestar's Vector bootno problem. Long side zippers make in/out very easy. Decent knee protectionand padded hip zones. May not be for really warm climates...I'll let youknow...

Buyer Info: 6' 4". 250 lbs, 42 inch waist, 36" inseam
Comments: Bought the XXXL Tall - Quite a few posts on these pants, but to add my .02...Just ordered them from Motorcycle Superstore, normal delivery, and theyarrived in 3 days - no charge for delivery! They fit over jeans just fine, have zips up the side as well as zips up the sides of the removable liner. Thewaist is great, lots of room to expand to don over heavy boots and jeans, thencinch up tight with side-straps and front snaps. The fly does not open butdoes expand. Length is a tad short as they ride up far enough to expose acouple of inches of pantleg when I sit on bike, but knee-pads adjusted fine tosit where they need to on my knees. Feel great and I recommend them.

Comments: What a great piece of clothing. Normally I wear draggin jeans, but I was looking for something with a bit more protection and good venting. The design is excellent and quality is incredible especially for the price. The styling looks good to me as well. Zip off pant leggings and side leg zippers for easy boot access are just a good ideas on a motorcycle pant IMO. It comes in a color other than black which is hot here in Atlanta so bonus points. MODEL: Booster (now renamed to Mercury on Fieldsheer's website)
AVAILABLE SIZES: up to XXXL
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: Pockets for kneepads extended
BUYER INFO: 6'3"/35"
COMMENTS: I bought these in XL-tall, which translates to an overpant that wil go over a 36" waist with jeans, with a 36" inseam. The only problem was that the kneepads are positioned too high. I had a tailor extend the little pockets for the kneepads by about 3"

MAKE: Olympia
MODEL: Ranger II pants
AVAILABLE SIZES: Up to 50 I beleive
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: Will add some length with free material from olympia
BUYER INFO: 38waist, 36 inseem
COMMENTS: I ordered the BMW City pant in the biggest size, 3XL and they did not fit. I called Olympia and they helped me figure out a size. I wanted overpants to commute to work over my clothes and got the 42. They are perfect as overpants and are easy to slide on and off. They are waterproof outers and come with an insulated liner that zips out and I doubt I will ever need as they are nice and warm. Inseam is functional but I wanted it longer so I called Olympia and they sent me extra material for free for a seamstress to add on. They even make the bottom hem simple so that it can be dropped and material added on. Awesome pants!!! Only weakness is that the hip and knee armour are CE not NP. I am going to order the NP pads from BMW and replace.

Available Sizes: S-5XL (4XL Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: 6'3", 300 lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: I bought these pants to carry along with me on long distance rides. I wanted something I could put on quickly and would fit over my other gear. These pants work their intended purpose and has held up in several heavy rain riding sessions. My only real complaints are that it is bulky when you aren't wearing it eating up precious cargo space and it doesn't breathe.

Buyer Info: 6'7", 210 lubs, 36" inseam, 36" waist, , 44" chest, 36" sleeves
Comments: (stretch67)These have been great pants. The exterior shell is waterproof and windproof with hip and knee pads in velcro pockets, full-length zippers (with storm flap) down the outside of each leg. The insulated liner velcro's in place and is warm enough for rides in the 30's even with regular jeans underneath. I read another review here where an owner had trouble with the waterproofing. I however, have not. I regularly spray them with Camp-Dri silicone spray to keep the rain rolling off. I could use a couple more inches in the inseam, but there aren't a lot of tall-sized overpants out there.

---===HELMETS===---

Make: Vega
Model: Altura
Available Sizes: XS to XXXXXL
Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: (jobusu) I wear 8 1/8 fitted caps
Comments: I'm a new rider and I was looking for a full-face helmet that could fit my huge Irish head. I first ordered an Icon Airframe, and though thesizing chart indicated it would fit, it wasn't even close. I ordered the VegaAltura in 5XL (about $70) and it fit reasonably well. Unfortunately, theremovable cheek pads only come in one size. Other than that I have no realcomplaints, I'm just a little nervous about entrusting my head to a cheap, made in China helmet. I have an oval shaped head, so I may try an Arai Profilein the next couple months if I can find one.

MAKE: Schuberth
MODEL: C2 Flip up helmet
AVAILABLE SIZES: Up to 2XL
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: No
BUYER INFO: Head circumference 61cm
COMMENTS: I bought this sight unseen from Extreme Gear in the US as you cannot get Schuberth in Canada. The BMW version of this helmet in Canada is 850$!!!!! and from Extreme it was 435$. I measured my head against the scale on the Schuberth website and ordered an XL. it was a bit snug when I got it but within a week or two it felt great. Much better than my old HJC XXL which fit great when I got it but then got all sloppy as I wore it. Much better sound protection, chin protection, etc. etc.

Make: Arai
Model: Quantum 2 Helmet
Available Sizes: S-2XL (2XL Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: Round Earth Shaped Head, Large Jaw
Comments: This helmet fits about as good as it gets for me. The weight is great and feels very balanced. Also, I have a huge jaw line that makes most helmets virtually impossible to wear but this one has ample room in that area. This helmet is my daily driver.

Make: GMax
Model: 68S SPC Helmet
Available Sizes: S-3XL (3XL Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: Round Earth Shaped Head, Large Jaw
Comments: This helmet is tight fit going on and feels pretty good even though smaller than an Arai. I do have pressure on my forehead with this helmet which has kept me from enjoying it. My face also sits very close to the front of the helmet but nothing that makes me feel uncomfortable. The features to price on this helmet make it a winner if it fits your noggin. I haven't given up on it yet.

Make: KBC
Model: TK-9 Helmet (no longer available)
Available Sizes: up to XXL
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: Big head with a jaw like Bruce Campbell
Comments: (Rabbit_fighter) I am shopping for a new helmet and recently went through every XXL in the shop and was unable to find one that fit. Those that felt fine around the crown, had the chin guard right up against my lips. Last time I went through this ordeal, I had to ask somebody "does my head look f'ed up or something?" Even though XXL helmets rarely fit, my TK-9 is actually just the XL (according to sizing charts, that is bigger than most XXL helmets from other manufacturers.)

Make: Olympia
Model: Stealth One-piece Suit
Available Sizes: up to XXXL, I bought XXL
Custom Alternations: None yet, but I am going to add a few inches to the legs.
Buyer info: 6'4", 35" inseam, 240 pounds.
Comments: Great mesh summer suit. Arms are plenty long, legs are abt. 35" inseam, a little short (just above ankle when riding) for me. Olympia is sending some free material to me that I will have a tailor add to the legs. However, I like my pants to be long (covering ankle when riding), others may be happy with suit as-is. BTW: XXXL is same lenght as XXL; in other words

Make: FieldSheer

Available Sizes: I bought size 2XL
Custom Alterations: N
Buyer Info: (KKop) 6'4", 34" inseam, 36" waist
Comments: I wanted this suit, but was afraid to order it online, since Fieldsheer's sizing is so strange. Found this suit at a local dealer (WOW in Marietta, GA) for $200. 2XL fits me exactly (over my jeans and sweater) with the liner in there. Took a testride today

Make: Frogg Toggs

Available Sizes: S-3XL (3XL Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: 6'3", 300 lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: This is now my default wet weather riding suit. It packs well, doesn't ballon up like other light weight rain gear and it breathes bought this jacket to carry along with me on long distance rides. I wanted something I could put on quickly and would fit over my other gear. It has held up very well but the material still feels wimpy compared to other rain suits. I don't expect this to have the life of other heavy duty jackets, but I feel it is worth it. I seriously doubt this will survive in a crash, but I don't think that is really a consideration for me either.

Available Sizes: R and L (L Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: (Cam) 6'3", 300 lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: This is pretty much my ultimate sleeping bag. Basically it is a sleeping bag that stretches to fit around its user. Due to its clever design, it doesn't need as much material to make it work so it packs down VERY small and is extremely light. Works for all but the very largest of us with its generous 76" shoulder girth.

Model: Safari Deluxe Hammock
Available Sizes: N/A
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: (Cam) 6'3", 300 lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: Calling this a hammock isn't accurate. More like a solo tent that hangs from trees. Extremely comfortable, easy setup and take down especially with the optional snake skins, packs small and handles big fellows all the way to 350lbs. I love this and take it with me whenever I go camping even if I just use it to nap in.

Available Sizes: Long
Custom Alterations: none
Buyer Info: (dox) 6'4", 315lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52-54" chest, 34-36" sleeves
Comments: Went to my local outdoors shop to purchase a Buffalo Park which I found in this big and tall reference, but after discussing my needs with theowner, he thought I should try this. Lots of room in this bag for a big guy,but broad shoulders might be snug for some. I am very broad shouldered and itis somewhat snug, but livable. This bag is essentially the Buffalo Park butwith a hood, pillow pocket and draft barrier. This bag is WARM! With a fleeceliner it may even be good to a much lower temp. Lots of room in the foot boxand, with the zipper not all the way up, I can sleep on my side in this thing! What a great bag. Love the design where you can slide an insulated sleepingpad into the bottom of the bag and won't roll off in the night.

MAKE: Big Agnes
MODEL: Buffalo Park
AVAILABLE SIZES: One size 40X78
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: No
BUYER INFO: 6’7” 315 lbs
COMMENTS: 40 deg. Synthetic bag. I like the park series bags because they have a large girth. Most bags have length but are to narrow for me. These bags are nice and roomy. Big Agnes also uses a design that removes the bottom insulation of the bag and is replaced with a sleeping pad that fits in a sleeve on the bag. This is nice because it cuts down on weight and makes it impossible to slide of your mat.

Comments: (stretch67) A very nice packable bag that actually fits me and keeps me warm. Filled with 37 ounces of Polarguard 3D, rated to 10°F (-12°C). Make: Zamberlan
Model: Civetta
Available Sizes: 14 (in the US at least)
Buyer Info: 6'6", 215 lbs. 14-15 shoe/boot with narrow to medium width
Comments: Take this as you will but I've done probably 100x more miles on trails with my feet than the bike (Shock! Awe! Shame! ) and for years the Vasque "Sundowner" was my boot. Reasons prompted me to try a few others (Scarpa and Raichle) over the years but I always looked at the Sundowners as "my boot". Until now. I have been in a pair of these Civettas for about 9 months now and I'm f*#%ing loving them. F*$@ing loving them. Because of the relative narrowness of my feet, I usually have problems with the length/width ratio and, particularly in active footware, I swim too much...and often need more length to keep my toes from being crushed on descent. The Civettas, however, hug my footsies wonderfully, even with a medium sock, and I really couldn't be happier.

Make: Held
Model: Speed
Size: 11 long
Custom Alterations: a lot of time with a steamer and lots of stretching
Buyer Info: (Dirty Hippie) XL glove is usually right, but I need an xxl to get finger length
Comments: A bit of buyers remorse with these. I wanted gauntlets with serious protection and a great fit. I went all out with these because they are 'roo skin and offered long finger lengths. I couldn't find them locally to try on. Ordered from New Enough for....$250!!! Ouch. The fingers were not impressively long. I steamed and stretched, steamed and stretched, plus wore them all summer. They are better now, but I could have done just as well for a lot less cash. To add insult to injury, everyone is closing these out now for a lot less than I paid. They are, however, very nice gloves and about as protective as it gets.

Make: Cortech
Model: Scarab winter gloves

Available Sizes: N/A
Custom Alterations: none
Buyer Info: (dox) 6'4", 315lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52-54" chest, 34-36" sleeves
Comments: These pegs do as advertised... move the pegs down and inch or so. However, for this single benefit, you will immediately notice some issues suchas: Brake and shift lever clearance can be uncomfortable for some riders, even with adjustment. For those who do gravel and minor off-roading, this kit canmake it difficult to stand on the pegs as the pegs now have a slight downwardslope angle away from the bike, forcing you to turn your feet/ankles inward. You will definitely lose cornering clearance and notice scraping pegs whereyou would never have had that problem before.

Buyer Info: (dox) 6'4", 315lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52-54" chest, 34-36" sleeves
Comments:For those with hot hands, these gloves are comfortable and easy to use controls with. They are a little tight on me at first, but not overly snugand work well for me. One problem, however, is that they wear quickly in thefinger tips and the areas around the strap where you pull them on. After about6 or 7000 miles in these, they start to wear quickly... however the price islow.

Buyer Info: 6'3", 300lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: If you have large hands or long fingers, avoid these gloves. I bought them site unseen after trying out the Scarab gloves, but quickly foundout these didn't fit worth a hoot. They are small and have stubby fingers likeso many cheap gloves made out there. For smaller hands these may be finegloves, but if you have smaller hands you probably aren't reading this.

Buyer Info: (Cam) 6'3", 300lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: I am not a big cold weather rider especially when we usually get a few days of warmer weather through Atlanta even in the winter months. However,I do ride from time to time in the cold and decided to try a nice set of coldweather gloves. I tried these on at a local shop and found that they fit alarge hand with semi-long fingers well. It is comfortable and comes with areasonably sized cuff. I don't find many gloves that fit me well since theyare usually too small around the hand or have short fingers. This glove hasample room and the micro fleece is very comfy. I have only ridden in themthree times, but so far so good. Virtually no break in time is required.

Comments: I have a very wide head which make items like sunglasses and helmets a chore to buy so when I find something that works pretty well I get exceptionally excited. This is such a product. The glasses look good, come in a lot of options, have the safety features I consider requirements and are extremely comfy for wide heads. The best part is you can find them under $15 online. If you are looking for some good quality sunglasses for your huge cranium, give these a try.

Buyer Info: (Cam) 6'3", 300 lbs, 34" inseam, 46" waist, 52" chest, 34" sleeves
Comments: Finally a glove that fits around my big hand the way it is supposed to. There are so few gloves out there for big hands and slightly long fingersthat are cut correctly. The area between the thumb and forefinger is agenerous cut unlike many other gloves I have tried. Another bonus to the gloveis that it is a "shorty" style but still has plenty of protection in the wristarea. I would call it a 3/4 glove since it is more than the typical wrist cutbut less than a full length. All-in-all my new summer riding glove.

BUYER INFO: Big Shrek hands
COMMENTS: Integrates well with my other Gerbing coat and pants. Surprizing in 34* weather they are warm, not hot on high setting. Cold hands warm in a minute or two, I expected them to cook me, but the warmth is perfect for control. Expensive at about $200 US. But used them on our trip to Deadhorse, we both had them and turned up the heat on Atigan Pass as it snowed last August, no problems.

MAKE: BMW
MODEL: Summer Rain Gloves)
AVAILABLE SIZES: Up to 12 and a half
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: No
BUYER INFO: Big Monkey hands
COMMENTS: I could not find any gloves to fit me properly so I ordered these without trying them on. They fit awesome!!! They are waterproof and have been warm down to about -10 Celcius (no heated grips). Since I ride year round up here I will be getting the BMW Prowinter for the cold months. Great gloves though and cheap through A and S BMW (89$ or so).

MAKE: Lee Parks design
MODEL: Deersports
AVAILABLE SIZES: xxs-3xl
CUSTOM ALTERATIONS: Unknown
BUYER INFO: Long fingers.
COMMENTS: I have a problem with gloves. It would seem that all gloves are made for people with short fat fingers. I bought the Lee Parks because they actually provide a sizing chart on their web sit that you can down load and compare your hand and finger size to the different glove sizes. Most other glove manufactures just want you to measure around your palm. I bought the 2xl and they seem to fit pretty well, however they are a little tight in the thumbs but I hope they will break-in with time.

Make: AlpineStars
Model: S-MX 6 Gloves
Available Sizes: S-3XL (3XL Purchased)
Custom Alterations: None
Buyer Info: 6'3", 300 lbs, Very Wide Hands with Normal Length Fingers
Comments: These gloves are mana from heaven in the summer. My hands usually end up busting the stitches out of most other gloves but these are down right roomy. They work great in cool to hot weater and have held up incredibly well. One of the few pieces of gear I have zero complaints with. Well it would be nice to have a silver color to relfect some of that hot sun in the summers but very minor nitpick.

Comments: (kkop) I could never find a pair of sunglasses that fit me right. I always looked like I was wearing the kiddie size glasses. FatHeadz sunglasses finally solved that problem with a size XL frame They have other, less colorful designs also
